What is The Secret to a Truly Successful Business?
All business owners, no matter the size of their company, have their own personal approaches that help them run a successful business. We asked two Gwinnett Business leaders who have weathered the shifting economy and stayed strong what they think is needed to win in today’s competitive business world.
Dr. Bill Williams — Dr. Bill Williams started his dental career in Stone Mountain, GA, in 1976 after graduating from the Medical College of Georgia. He started out like most dentists, but soon caught a vision that led him to fields of study and advanced technology that placed his practice above the crowd.
Dr. Williams was a pioneer in the field of temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJ) and neuromuscular dentistry in the early 1980s, and lectured intemationally on the subject.
He and his wife, Sheila, started his new practice in Suwanee in 1997 with three employees and 1,200 square feet of space. Without yellow pagest advertising his first year, he turned to the Intemet and developed an award-winning web site that has been the center of his WebCentric Marketing Action Plan.
Williams says, “Our secret to success is to listen to what our clients want, to offer gentle, comprehensive dentistry to every patient and to give all the credit to God for all our blessings.”
As director ot Kenya Medical Outreach Inc., he leads a team to Kenya each year for dentistry, medicine, construction and evangelism. He has two partners, Dr. Jeremy Smih and Dr. Blazej Golik, who are also active in dental charities and 24 staff members, and is adding another outstanding dentist to the practice this year.
Currently, Dr. Williams’ focus is on cosmetic dentistry, extreme makeovers and sedation dentistry.
