If you’ve always wanted whiter, brighter teeth, ask our dentists or our dental hygienists about the variety of teeth whitening procedures we offer, such as DayWhite, and NiteWhite®, Zoom, or BriteSmile (see below for more information about BriteSmile).
Under supervision you can whiten your teeth in a matter of days or even hours (depending on the procedure) with a safe, comfortable and effective process — either while you sleep, while you do your daily work or at the office with us.

Before orthodontics and whitening

After 6 months Invisible Braces and 3 weeks of home whitening
(Results may vary from patient to patient.)
Through the use of a custom made delivery system and the bleaching materials in tooth whitening technology you can have whiter and brighter teeth both at home and at our office.
An additional technique for improving the brightness of natural teeth is to accelerate the whitening process by applying high energy activating light to a special BriteSmile whitening gel in the dental office.
This method used alone or in concert with the home whitening technique speeds the process, improves the results, and gives you an immediate gleam to your smile.
The BriteSmile Difference
Nothing gets your teeth whiter, faster. Now, virtually everyone can have beautiful white teeth safely, effectively and conveniently.
BriteSmile’s science is the secret to its success. It offers the latest, most advanced state-of-the-art technology to whiten teeth. The BriteSmile procedure was developed under the supervision of Dr. John Warner, a former NASA scientist who was partly responsible for scientific and technical aspects of the Hubble Space Program and the development of laser eye surgery.
BriteSmile is safe and effective. The BriteSmile procedure has been proven safe in clinical studies conducted by senior researchers at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and confirmed by researchers at New York University. Now years of coffee, cigarettes, red wine and normal wear and tear are erased in just over an hour.
BriteSmile is affordable, too. Unlike other procedures that may offer questionable results at high prices and often require on-going maintenance, BriteSmile is affordable compared to the options available in the past… veneers, crowns or dentures.
Suwanee Dental Care Becomes BriteSmile Center
We are one of the first offices in the Atlanta area to offer the new BriteSmile 3,000 state-of-the-art technology to whiten teeth and enormously enhance personal appearance and esthetics. Our new system delivers truly amazing results, whitening teeth an average of nine shades in just over an hour.
There are over one hundred and eighty BriteSmile Bleaching Centers in the United States which have successfully treated thousands of patients. Being a BriteSmile dentist is an honor. There are only 25 other BriteSmile Bleaching Center dentists in Georgia out of a total of over 3000 dentists.
How Does it Work?
Our system using gas plasma light technology, plus a new proprietary bleaching gel, has created a revolutionary method of teeth whitening which quickly, safely and effectively whitens all teeth at once.
The primary ingredient in BriteSmile’s gel is hydrogen peroxide, which has been safely used in teeth whitening for over 100 years and is recognized as an effective ingredient by the dental community. Even so, the percentage of hydrogen peroxide in BriteSmile’s proprietary gel is only 15%, far lower than most other whitening products which may contain as much as 35%-50% hydrogen peroxide.
Our innovative light system activates the hydrogen peroxide in the gel and speeds up the whitening procedure — so you leave in just over an hour with their teeth at their optimal whiteness, satisfaction guaranteed. Most other procedures offer as few as a 3-5 shade change.
Please keep in mind that you may have the BriteSmile procedure performed in our office and continue to see your current dentist. We will be happy to supply “before and after” photographs and any other details your dentist feels appropriate.
Is It Safe?
Yes. Unlike the “do-it-yourself” take home bleaching trays, our dentist oversees every aspect of your BriteSmile procedure. Before you can even move forward with your procedure, our dentist does a thorough examination to ensure both teeth and tissue is acceptable. Your BriteSmile procedure will not soften enamel or damage existing fillings
Independent safety studies conducted at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and reviewed by researchers at New York University found conclusively that the BriteSmile procedure resulted in no structural change in teeth.
Will It Hurt?
The BriteSmile teeth whitening process is normally painless. A very small percentage of people may experience a minor, dull “ache” following the procedure. Taking an Advil (ibuprofen) or Tylenol (acetaminophen) almost always resolves the feeling. It is best to avoid very hot or very cold drinks for the first 24 hours if there is any tooth sensitivity.
Is This Procedure for Everyone?
Virtually everyone wanting to brighten his or her teeth can benefit from using BriteSmile, including people with severe food and tobacco or tetracycline stains. However, extremely dark teeth that may need changes of 20+ would require more than one treatment.
The dental examination by Dr. Williams will determine if you are a good candidate for whitening at the time of your free consultation. If the examination uncovers a condition that would delay whitening, you will be advised of the need for possible treatment.
Customers with a history of TMJ problems, extreme thermal sensitivity to hot and cold food or drinks and those with numerous fracture lines in the teeth may not be good
candidates.
How White Will My Teeth Get?
In clinical studies, BriteSmile has been able to achieve 9+ shades whiter on average*. Your results of course will vary as everyone’s teeth respond a little differently, but in virtually all cases, the results are dramatic. Ultimately, the goal will be to achieve your optimum, natural whiteness.
During the consultation, the dentist will go over what you personally can expect for your individual situation. Severe discoloration can be treated and yield good results in many instances. However, the more difficult cases can sometimes require a more lengthy treatment than the standard one hour treatment.
How Long Does it Last?
The long-term results depend primarily on the individual. Certain habits, such as the use of tobacco products, drinking a lot of coffee, tea, dark soft drinks, and infrequent
visits to the dentist for regular cleanings, etc., can work against the results.
Regular professional care will help maintain the BriteSmile up to 2 years. Some people may prefer to do the BriteSmile whitening treatment more frequently.
Will Dental Insurance Cover This Procedure?
No. As with most cosmetic dental procedures, insurance will not cover the treatment cost.
Will it Whiten My Existing Crowns/Veneers?
The BriteSmile professional teeth whitening treatment has been successful at removing stains from caps, veneers or bonded teeth. However, a whitening treatment in general
cannot change the color of the caps, veneers or bonds. We recommend that you discuss your situation with a BriteSmile dentist to determine what you can expect.
What if I Am Pregnant?
While there are no known constraints for pregnant women, some may experience gum sensitivity. Pregnant women may wish to defer having the procedure until after pregnancy.
How Can I Maintain My New White Teeth?
We recommend the following to maintain your new BriteSmile: Brush your teeth twice daily or after each meal; floss daily; use a whitening toothpaste and a soft bristle toothbrush; and visit your dentist for regular cleanings and check-ups (recommendation: every 6 months).
We have a variety of the best products available to keep teeth their best after your BriteSmile treatment has been completed. See our staff for details or surf the website store for a list of our products.
